Blepharitis is inflammation of the eyelid margins. It often causes symptoms like irritation, burning, crusting, or a gritty feeling. These issues can happen because of blocked oil glands, bacteria, or a buildup of debris along the lashes. The ZEST treatment helps by thoroughly cleaning the lids in a way that you can’t quite achieve at home.
The procedure is quick and comfortable. we apply a specially formulated Zest gel on a soft applicator and gently work it along your upper and lower lids. This loosens and removes the debris, oils, and bacteria. You may feel a mild cooling or tingling, but it should not be painful.
The full ZEST treatment normally takes no longer than 30 minutes and eyelids should feel cleaner and more refreshed once completed. Some people notice immediate relief, while for others it improves gradually over the next day or two.
